Do you have embarrassing skin bumps and rough patches on your body in places such as between your legs, on your upper arms or on your backside?
Use these simple natural remedies to get rid of those bothersome razor burns or bumps in no time!
Exfoliate – One major cause of bumps is the lack of exfoliation, which is why it's extremely important that you are exfoliating your skin on a regular basis. You can do this by using a dry brush, a body scrub or even a combination of the two. Keep in mind that there really is no need to go out and buy a scrub when you can make your own at home with just a few basic ingredients. Mix a bit of sugar with a moisturizing oil such as olive oil, avocado oil or coconut oil and then scrub away while you're in the shower.
Coconut Oil – Coconut oil contains fatty acids that have been proven to deeply moisturize the skin in addition to containing anti-bacterial properties that kill germs which may be causing redness and irritation. It's recommended you use a little coconut oil as a daily moisturizer after bathing in order to nourish your skin and eliminate rough patches.
Yogurt – Yogurt naturally contains lactic acid which is known to revitalize skin cells and reduce dryness. To use yogurt to get rid of your bumps, apply a bit of it to the affected area for 15 minutes just before you bathe and then moisturize once you dry off.
Powders – Some areas of bumpy skin are caused by burns from razors and one way to prevent this from happening is with the use of a natural powder. All you have to do is sprinkle a bit of talc powder, corn starch or baby powder on the area that is usually affected with razor burn and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before you shave.
